Finding My Direction

Throughout my entire life I have found so many things that I have felt passionate about and I wanted to pursue further. While that may seem like an amazing thing, it is actually harder than not finding anything you are passionate about at all. I don’t know if I am in the same situation as many others are; wanting to thrive in absolutely everything you’re interested in. As I live my life and I see all the possibilities, I get frustrated that I can’t pursue all of it. I guess that is the burden of an overachiever. My whole life I have put pressure on myself to be the best, the smartest, and the most put together person in the room.

I am blessed to be cursed with this personality trait, but its times like these that I get frustrated. The purpose of this post is to talk about the direction of this blog and what I want to concentrate on. This blog started with my longtime love of writing and photography. When I started lacking inspiration in those areas, my love for makeup and fashion became the main focus. Now I am finding a new love for traveling and exploring and documenting those adventures through photography. In this day and age, it is hard to find that specific area that you want to focus on forever. Especially in the age of social media and gaining a certain following of people, it isn’t that easy to switch your area of interest. I am at a crossroads with this blog and I would love guidance on which way it should go. The element that has remained consistent on this blog are my life updates and “chatty advice” posts. No matter what, I want to keep this aspect on my blog.

I would love to gain some insight from you guys on what you think! I am sure I am not the only one that has felt this way, but it helps to talk to others who have been in the same spot.
